This exhibition reflects the artist’s perception of the concept of Home. The spectator is invited to participate or identify with the visual language that the artist explores in her SEARCH.
For the artist, the process of creating art is always a search, a way of life. Making art has become a process. The art works are the result, the products of the search for alternatives and a response to every day realities – but also an investigation of meaningful, memories of our past, our history, present day culture and the symbolic associations which connect shapes to reasoning.
The drawings can be described as:
- Post Modernist in the conventions that she exploits.
- Fragmentation
- Images on a flat surface
- Limited Space
- Image and Context
- Spirit of place and time
- History of structures (Masada) and people
- Open ended metaphors
- Reference to nature (Growth and renewal)
- Nomadic existence
- Destruction and deconstruction
- The Door – entry into a new life, a new chapter.
The artist more than anybody else, needs to enter, to pass through doors, and barriers in the search for truth, in the knowledge that there is no ultimate truth.
